Overview
McCalla Raymer Leibert Pierce LLP seeks a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join the Accounting Department. This role processes and applies cash receipts prepares deposits and posts cash receipts to systems. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills accuracy and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced professional services environment.
What You'll Do11
- 1Process and apply daily cash receipts wire transfers and ACH payments
- 2Prepare and scan daily check deposits using onsite remote deposit scanners
- 3Ensure funds are deposited into appropriate firm and client bank accounts
- 4Reconcile daily deposit activity to bank records and internal accounting systems
- 5Research and resolve unapplied or misapplied cash transactions
- 6Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails for all deposit activities
- 7Review payment remittance information and ensure proper allocation of funds
- 8Assist with daily cash balancing and reconciliation processes
- 9Monitor bank activity and report discrepancies to management
- 10Coordinate with legal teams clients vendors and internal departments regarding payment inquiries
- 11Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to cash receipts and reconciliations
Requirements5
- 1Associate's degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or related field preferred
- 21-3 years of accounting accounts receivable cash application banking or related experience
- 3Experience with remote deposit scanners and electronic banking platforms is a plus
- 4Experience in a law firm professional services organization or high-volume transaction environment preferred
- 5Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Salary Insight
$50 - $60k per year
