Overview
Lead academic tutoring sessions to help participants develop skills required to master academic course material. Provide individual and small group tutoring after-school and create enrichment activities. Coordinate daily homework assistance and develop lesson plans aligned with California standards.

- 1Lead academic tutoring sessions to help participants develop skills required to master academic material
- 2Coordinate daily homework assistance and tutoring program for students
- 3Develop lesson plans and tutor in accordance with California Content Standards
- 4Assist in creation of learning activities and other department objectives
- 5Complete tutorial log daily and finish monthly reports
- 6Monitor use of tutoring resources during sessions
- 7Set up materials and prepare classroom for activities
- 8Keep written logs of student observations and progress
- 9Communicate with Lead Tutor Project Advisor and Director
- 10Mentor students about college experience
- 11Present and lead workshops on college career financial literacy leadership development
- 12Supervise students during field trips
Requirements6
- 1Pass fingerprint clearance and background check
- 2Current college freshman or higher with minimum 3.0 GPA
- 3Minimum 1 year tutoring or related experience
- 4Ability to handle emotional stress and conflict with difficult clients
- 5Strong communication and organizational skills
- 6Knowledge of educational best practices
