Overview
You will deliver personalized 1:1 academic support to children ages 3-14 in West Los Angeles, adapting instruction to diverse learning profiles including ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and anxiety. What You'll Do8
- 1Build rapport with young learners to create a safe, engaging session environment
- 2Design and deliver 1:1 lessons in pre-literacy, reading foundations, early math, and handwriting
- 3Implement positive reinforcement and structured routines to support executive functioning
- 4Adapt instruction to each child's learning profile, including IEP and 504 goals
- 5Support social-emotional growth by building confidence and frustration tolerance
- 6Track student progress with brief session notes and update families regularly
- 7Communicate professionally with parents and the Franklin team
- 8Travel to in-home sessions across the South Bay as scheduled
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, or related field (or in progress)
- 2Reliable transportation for in-home sessions in the South Bay
- 31+ year experience tutoring or teaching children, especially ages 3-14
- 4Warm, patient, and energetic approach, with strong rapport-building skills
- 5Ability to provide structure through clear expectations and visual supports
- 6Strong organizational and communication skills for family updates
- 7Preferred: Experience with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, or anxiety support
- 8Preferred: Certification such as CA credential, RBT, BCBA, or OG-based training
