Overview
Super Soccer Stars seeks a Youth Soccer Coach to lead weekday classes for children ages 1-12 across New York City. You will own the coaching experience for multiple groups, teaching soccer fundamentals while building confidence and social skills. Join a team of educators and coaches operating year-round at childcare centers, parks, and schools. This role offers flexible part-time hours, paid training, and growth into higher pay tiers up to $45/hr.
What You'll Do7
- 1Lead engaging soccer sessions for children ages 1-12, focusing on motor skills and teamwork.
- 2Design age-appropriate drills that teach dribbling, passing, and shooting through games.
- 3Maintain a safe, inclusive environment, adapting activities to diverse skill levels.
- 4Communicate with parents and staff, providing progress updates and encouraging participation.
- 5Manage class equipment, ensuring setup and cleanup for each session.
- 6Model positive sportsmanship and emotional regulation, reinforcing social-emotional learning.
- 7Attendance at weekly trainings to refine coaching techniques and learn new activities.
Requirements7
- 11+ years coaching youth sports, teaching, or working with children.
- 2Solid grasp of soccer fundamentals, with ability to instruct at a grassroots level.
- 3Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills for kids, parents, and peers.
- 4Skill in building an inclusive, fun, motivating environment that boosts participation.
- 5CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
- 6Available for weekday afternoon (2pm-6pm) or evening (4pm-8pm) shifts.
- 7Willingness to travel to various locations across New York City.
Salary Insight
