World Language Teacher (Spanish, French, ASL) 2026-27
Overview
You will teach Spanish, Italian, French, Latin, ASL, or Chinese to preK-12 students across New York City. You will own your classroom instruction with a comprehensive curriculum and weekly coaching provided at no cost. You will join a nationwide network of educators supported by professional development and mentorship. What You'll Do8
- 1Deliver engaging lessons in Spanish or French to students across grade levels, using provided curriculum materials.
- 2Adapt instruction for Italian, Latin, ASL, or Chinese to meet diverse student needs and school requirements.
- 3Build a positive classroom environment that fosters language acquisition and cultural appreciation.
- 4Collaborate with school staff and Kreyco coaches to align teaching strategies with school goals.
- 5Complete administrative tasks such as grading and attendance in a timely manner.
- 6Participate in weekly coaching sessions to refine teaching techniques.
- 7Communicate with parents and guardians on student progress as needed.
- 8Attend required professional development workshops to enhance instructional skills.
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's degree in education, language, or related field.
- 21+ year teaching experience in a classroom or similar setting (preferred).
- 3Valid state teaching certification or willingness to obtain one.
- 4Fluent or near-native proficiency in the target language (e.g., Spanish, ASL).
- 5US work authorization and ability to pass a background check.
- 6Reside within commuting distance to assigned school in New York City.
- 7Reliable transportation to and from job site.
- 8Availability for part-time or full-time positions starting 2026-2027 school year.
