Whatnot Streamer Assistant, Live Selling Operations
Overview
You will own the live selling support for Whatnot shows at our Woodside, NY office, executing every step from pre-stream prep to post-stream fulfillment. With Whatnot as your primary platform, you will keep the host and the show moving by uploading product links, labeling sales, and coordinating with warehouse and shipping teams. You are the operational hinge of each live session, handling up to 40 hours per week with precision at $17-$22 per hour. This role stands out because it trains you for advancement to Show Coordinator or Lead Assistant, with direct impact on stream accuracy and order flow.
What You'll Do10
- 1Prepare all product listings, pricing, and inventory in the Whatnot app before each live show, ensuring every item is ready for the host.
- 2Set up lighting, camera, and display angles for clear product visibility and professional stream quality.
- 3Coordinate with warehouse staff to confirm all items are tagged and staged in the correct sequence.
- 4Upload each product link to Whatnot in real time before the host introduces the item, keeping pace with the live flow.
- 5Label each sold product with the buyer's ID immediately after the sale, using the app for order reference.
- 6Hand items to the host in the correct order, matching the intended sequence to avoid pauses.
- 7Monitor live chat and update item status or stock levels in Whatnot as sales occur, flagging any discrepancies.
- 8Record final bid prices and winning buyer details, capturing accurate data for post-stream processing.
- 9Sort sold and unsold products into designated areas, cross-checking buyer labels for accuracy.
- 10Communicate with packing and shipping teams to prioritize correct delivery order, then update sales records and inventory in the Whatnot dashboard.
Requirements6
- 11+ years supporting live streams, e-commerce, or warehouse operations, with comfort using Whatnot or similar platforms.
- 2Ability to work on-site in Woodside, NY, and commit to 30-40 hours per week with flexible shift availability including day and night.
- 3High attention to detail and quick reaction time during live selling sessions.
- 4Proficiency with computers, tablets, or mobile apps for data entry and labeling.
- 5Strong communication and teamwork skills for coordinating with host, warehouse, and shipping staff.
- 6Preferred: prior live selling experience, warehouse operations, or e-commerce background.
