Overview
You own daily warehouse operations for a high-volume distribution team, ensuring accuracy and safety across all shifts. You report to the Warehouse Supervisor and lead a staff of 10-15, setting clear expectations and modeling high work standards. You manage inventory integrity through cycle counts and audits, using RF guns and material handling equipment to track and move product. What You'll Do8
- 1Supervise assigned warehouse staff, setting daily goals and monitoring performance against safety and productivity standards.
- 2Drive inventory accuracy by overseeing cycle counts, auditing results, and correcting discrepancies with RF gun technology.
- 3Coordinate workflow across receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping to meet customer deadlines without delays.
- 4Train team members on proper RF gun use, material handling equipment, and safety protocols, onboarding new hires within 90 days.
- 5Lead daily safety briefings and enforce OSHA-compliant practices, ensuring all tools and equipment operate properly.
- 6Solve real-time operational issues, from staffing gaps to equipment malfunctions, minimizing downtime and keeping orders moving.
- 7Maintain a clean, organized work area, and promote a culture of tidiness and hazard awareness.
- 8Communicate shift performance and concerns to the Warehouse Supervisor, providing data on throughput and accuracy.
Requirements8
- 15+ years of warehouse experience, with 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role (preferred).
- 2Proven ability to operate RF guns and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- 3High school diploma or equivalent; additional logistics certification is a plus.
- 4Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and 40 pounds repetitively, with prolonged standing and bending.
- 5Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate clearly in English with diverse teams and all organizational levels.
- 6Demonstrated decision-making under pressure, with sound judgment and adaptability to frequent change.
- 7Basic math proficiency for inventory calculations and data interpretation.
- 8Willingness to relocate to Houston, TX 77095 before starting work, and to work onsite full-time.
