Waitstaff - Senior Living Dining Services
Overview
As a Waitstaff member at HarborChase, you will own the dining experience for senior residents across our community, serving 3-5 meals daily in a caring, attentive manner. You will work alongside a close-knit culinary team, reporting to the dining supervisor, and ensure every resident receives prompt, personalized service. What You'll Do9
- 1Greet residents by name and take meal orders with a smile, ensuring each dining experience feels personal and unhurried.
- 2Set up and maintain dining room stations, including proper placement of silverware, glassware, and linens before service.
- 3Serve meals promptly and accurately, honoring each resident's specific dietary restrictions and portion preferences.
- 4Clear tables, bus dishes, and reset stations between seatings to keep the dining room immaculate and inviting.
- 5Monitor dining areas for spills or trip hazards and address them immediately to protect resident safety.
- 6Assist kitchen staff with food prep, plating, and dishwashing tasks as directed to support smooth service flow.
- 7Store and distribute clean dishes, ensuring all sanitization protocols are followed per OSHA guidelines.
- 8Report any resident concerns or incidents to the supervisor while respecting confidentiality policies.
- 9Participate in HRA University training and fire evacuation drills to maintain a secure environment.
Requirements9
- 1High school diploma or GED required.
- 21+ year experience in front-of-house operations in a restaurant, hotel, or senior living community.
- 3Knowledge of OSHA regulations and state food-handling codes.
- 4Ability to pass Level 2 background screening for Florida-based communities.
- 5Demonstrated patience and a cheerful, tactful demeanor when interacting with seniors.
- 6Strong communication skills to engage residents, families, and staff professionally.
- 7Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- 8Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
- 9Commitment to maintaining personal hygiene and appearance standards.
