Overview
Bankjoy seeks a VP of Systems Engineering to lead three core engineering functions and drive quality engineering across the organization. This hands-on leadership role involves releasing management QA and DevOps teams while maintaining dotted-line relationships with manual QA engineers. The ideal candidate has deep quality engineering roots and proven ability to automate across multiple platforms.
What You'll Do19
- 1Lead Release Management QA organization including QA Lead and automation engineers
- 2Manage DevOps team with Senior Platform Architect and DevOps Engineer
- 3Maintain dotted-line relationship with manual QA engineers across product value streams
- 4Provide technical leadership on solution design architecture incidents and troubleshooting
- 5Partner with VP of Engineering on AI coding adoption and architectural standards
- 6Design and implement engineering quality framework across all value streams
- 7Own modern multi-platform automation framework for Angular Swift Kotlin
- 8Define and enforce quality gates with explicit go/no-go release criteria
- 9Develop and coach QA organization toward automation-first practices
- 10Establish test data management environment parity and CI/CD quality integration
- 11Build quality dashboard visible to engineering and leadership for release readiness transparency
- 12Partner with Release Manager to implement structured release gate process
- 13Work with Technical Support to close feedback loop between production issues and engineering
- 14Own post-release retrospectives and extract systemic lessons from client-impacting defects
- 15Enforce scope freeze discipline and involve QA in sprint planning
- 16Drive platform observability and SRE practices for site reliability engineering
- 17Champion AI-assisted coding and testing adoption across engineering teams
- 18Embed AI productivity into QA and development performance criteria
- 19Ensure compliance with SOC 2 Type II PCI DSS and other regulatory standards
Requirements10
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark Airflow
- 210+ years of engineering experience with at least 4 years in leadership roles
- 3Familiarity with AWS preferred cloud infrastructure
- 4Proven experience with Playwright Cypress Appium Maestro or equivalent automation tools
- 5Strong DevOps and platform reliability background including CI/CD pipelines
- 6Experience with multi-platform environments web native mobile iOS Android
- 7Background in quality engineering and platform reliability systems
- 8Ability to migrate automation frameworks across platforms
- 9Knowledge of release gate processes and go/no-go decision enforcement
- 10Track record of cultural shifts from manual to automation-first QA
