Vehicle Test Driver, Autonomous Vehicles
Overview
You will operate company-provided vehicles on designated routes across San Francisco, collecting real-world driving data to support autonomous vehicle development. You will work with fleet, dispatch, and operations teams, following safety procedures and documenting observations. This full-time W-2 role offers consistent hours and entry into the autonomous vehicle industry, with no prior AV experience required.
What You'll Do8
- 1Safely operate company vehicles on assigned routes in city, suburban, and highway environments.
- 2Drive for extended periods while supporting vehicle testing and ADAS data collection.
- 3Follow defensive driving and safety procedures to ensure safe operations.
- 4Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any issues.
- 5Use smartphones, navigation tools, and company applications for route and data tasks.
- 6Document driving observations and route information accurately.
- 7Communicate with fleet, dispatch, and operations teams to coordinate test activities.
- 8Maintain vehicle cleanliness and readiness for each shift.
Requirements9
- 1Valid U.S. driver's license held for at least 4 years.
- 2Clean driving record with strong safe driving habits.
- 3Comfortable driving for extended periods in various conditions.
- 4Strong situational awareness and attention to detail.
- 5Comfortable driving in city traffic and on highways.
- 6Basic smartphone and computer skills.
- 7Able to follow detailed routes and procedures.
- 8Reliable and punctual with consistent availability.
- 9Experience as a driver in Uber, Lyft, Amazon Delivery, DoorDash, or similar is a plus.
Salary Insight
