Overview

As a Travel Med/Surg RN on the Neuro MedSurg unit in Nashville, you will own direct patient care for a 14-bed hospital department with patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:5. You will partner with a dedicated Unit Secretary and Charge Nurse outside of ratio, documenting with Meditech on a day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. This 13-week contract requires an active TN or compact RN license and NIH Stroke Certification, offering a fast-paced neuro environment within a Joint Commission Thrombectomy Certified unit. You will float when needed, ensuring unit coverage, and commit to 4 weekend shifts per schedule.

What You'll Do7

  • 2Maintain a 1:4 or 1:5 patient ratio, ensuring safe, high-quality care while coordinating with the Charge Nurse and Unit Secretary.
  • 3Float to other units as first priority when needed, maintaining flexibility across the hospital.
  • 4Complete 4 weekend shifts per schedule, covering Friday through Monday as required.
  • 5Utilize NIH Stroke Certification to assess and monitor stroke patients within a Thrombectomy Certified neuro unit.
  • 6Document patient status and care accurately in Meditech within a 13-week assignment timeline.
