Texas Master Plumber, Residential Service & Installation
Overview
You will own the technical and operational plumbing side of a growing DFW home-services company. As the Texas Master Plumber on staff, you will run service calls, supervise installations, and build a high-quality plumbing team across residential and light-commercial work. You will report directly to ownership and shape procedures, pricing, and quality control from day one. This role stands apart because you are not just a license holder: you are a working leader who will help scale the division and gain equity in its success.
What You'll Do10
- 1Serve as the Responsible Master Plumber for Apex, if qualified and mutually agreed
- 2Perform residential and light-commercial plumbing service and installation work across DFW
- 3Diagnose plumbing problems and present clear repair options to customers
- 4Pull permits and coordinate required inspections with local municipalities
- 5Supervise plumbers, apprentices, and subcontractors on job sites
- 6Ensure work complies with Texas plumbing laws, local codes, and company standards
- 7Review estimates, job scopes, and completed work for accuracy and quality
- 8Develop plumbing procedures, pricing standards, and quality-control processes
- 9Help recruit, train, and mentor future plumbing technicians
- 10Maintain accurate job documentation, photographs, and customer records
Requirements9
- 1Active Texas Master Plumber license in good standing
- 2Current Responsible Master Plumber designation, or ability to qualify
- 33+ years residential service and installation experience
- 4Commercial plumbing experience is a plus
- 5Thorough understanding of permitting, inspections, and Texas plumbing codes
- 6Ability to diagnose, estimate, and complete work independently
- 7Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- 8Strong communication and customer-service skills
- 9Comfortable helping build the plumbing operation of a growing company
