Overview
Provide quality service while assisting customers accurately and efficiently and developing long term relationships. Oversee receiving and paying money ensuring accurate records of deposits withdrawals negotiable instruments and other transactions. Perform diverse customer service and sales activities including assisting walk in and telephone customers and selling opening and closing accounts.
What You'll Do10
- 1Perform all regular teller duties including accepting deposits cashing checks and executing customer service tasks
- 2Prepare holds on deposits and complete BSA forms such as CTRs and SIRs
- 3Execute operational duties like vault operations cash ordering shipping ATM settlement and research teller differences
- 4Process check orders close accounts handle mail sorting assist with NSF non post and collections verify safe deposit boxes and maintain accounts including deposits CDs HSAs IRAs and retail products
- 5Strive to achieve sales goals by being knowledgeable about products and services
- 6Answer phone calls assist walk in customers initiate research process and provide professional communication
- 7Process customer account printouts and sort daily mail
- 8Assist with deposit verification for credit purposes and manage secure deposit boxes
- 9Maintain confidentiality and provide leadership guiding subordinates in inquiries research and referrals
- 10Ensure efficiency accuracy and customer satisfaction in a fast paced environment
Requirements10
- 1Full knowledge of personal and business banking products and current banking regulations
- 2Basic understanding of banking regulations and bank policies
- 3Strong communication skills courteous professional interactions
- 4Proficiency with computer terminals printers back counter capture machines coin machines and copiers
- 5Ability to listen effectively make appropriate referrals and maintain confidentiality
- 6Commitment to confidentiality and providing leadership to team members
- 7High level of reliability flexible hours including weekends if branch open
- 8Education high school graduate or equivalent
- 9Minimum 24 months prior banking experience preferred
- 10Cash handling and customer contact experience preferred
