Student Associate - Population Research Center
Overview
Provide first-level technical support to PRC faculty staff and students while assisting with computer setup and maintenance. This role involves hands-on IT projects and collaborative work with faculty and staff.
What You'll Do11
- 1Build first-level technical support for faculty staff and students
- 2Design and deploy computer equipment and software applications
- 3Maintain inventory of technology equipment and supplies
- 4Assist with user account management and basic troubleshooting
- 5Support conference room technology and audiovisual setups
- 6Document IT procedures and update technical guides
- 7Perform routine maintenance and equipment replacements
- 8Provide support for website updates and administrative tasks
- 9Own and scale technology solutions for research environments
- 10Drive technology adoption across departmental projects
- 11Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve IT challenges
Requirements10
- 1Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
- 2Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- 3Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- 4Experience with software applications including CMS platforms
- 5Hands-on experience setting up computer hardware
- 6Background in AV equipment installation and configuration
- 7Enrolled student requirement of 6 hours weekly during long semesters
