Streaming HUB SRE Engineer FreeWheel
Overview
Lead the infrastructure for FreeWheel's Streaming Hub platform. This role owns and supports critical production systems at scale. You will design and implement high-availability solutions using Kubernetes and AWS. Expect to drive platform improvements alongside product teams.
What You'll Do11
- 1Manage and maintain business-critical production infrastructure supporting the Streaming Hub platform
- 2Design and execute infrastructure changes for new products and client requirements
- 3Partner with product teams to build and modify infrastructure for platform enhancements
- 4Build and optimize Kubernetes environments including Amazon EKS clusters
- 5Ensure platform availability, reliability, scalability, security, and performance in a 24x7 environment
- 6Participate in code-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production incidents
- 7Develop and maintain IaC solutions using Terraform and automation frameworks
- 8Automate operational processes using Python Go and Ansible
- 9Work with offshore teams to provide operational coverage across a 12-hour support model
- 10Collaborate with engineering to improve observability monitoring and deployment processes
- 11Support high-profile live events and traffic spikes to ensure platform stability
Requirements6
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons of experience with Kubernetes and AWS
- 3Strong Terraform experience (required)
- 4Extensive experience with Docker and containerized applications
- 5Proven ability to automate workflows using Python and Go
- 6Deep understanding of load balancing and traffic management

$109 - $164k per year
