Steward (Part Time)
Overview
You'll keep kitchen work areas and equipment spotless at the Gastonia Conference Center, supporting upscale food and beverage operations for Culinaire. Part time schedule with flexible hours. You'll report to the banquet and culinary teams, working alongside service staff to ensure every event runs smoothly. This role offers direct impact on guest satisfaction and safety compliance.
What You'll Do10
- 1Sweep and mop floors at assigned intervals to maintain safety and sanitation standards.
- 2Operate large electric machines, including dishwashers, sanitizers, trash compactors, and glass crushers.
- 3Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and all food prep surfaces as assigned.
- 4Segregate and remove trash and garbage, placing them in designated containers.
- 5Steam clean or hose out garbage cans in assigned areas.
- 6Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and other food preparation machines and equipment.
- 7Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, observing safe lifting standards.
- 8Assist with banquet table and front of the house setup as requested.
- 9Load or unload and deliver supplies and product as needed.
- 10Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment to support operations.
Requirements6
- 1Previous stewarding experience is preferred.
- 2Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs.
- 3Ability to operate industrial kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and sanitizers.
- 4Attention to detail in maintaining sanitation and safety standards.
- 5Flexible availability for part time schedule, days and hours may vary.
- 6Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
