Step-Van Delivery Driver, FedEx Ground Contractor
Overview
You will own daily package delivery for FedEx Ground routes near Vancouver and Ridgefield, WA, starting and ending at the Troutdale, OR terminal. You'll drive company-provided step vans and deliver up to 150 pounds per package using dollies. Our team of 10 drivers covers a 45-mile radius, and you'll earn $21/hr to start with stop-threshold bonuses that push pay past $25/hr. This is a weekend-only contract role with a family-owned contractor that values safety and reliability.
What You'll Do8
- 1Load and organize packages into the step van each morning at the Troutdale terminal.
- 2Deliver packages on assigned routes in Vancouver and Ridgefield, WA, within a 45-mile radius.
- 3Operate the step van safely in all weather and traffic conditions, following DOT regulations.
- 4Use a handheld scanner to track deliveries and updates in real time.
- 5Interact with customers professionally, obtaining signatures and resolving delivery exceptions.
- 6Return to the terminal after completing the route, and secure the vehicle.
- 7Earn stop-threshold bonuses by meeting daily delivery targets.
- 8Finish early and still receive pay for the full day.
Requirements8
- 121+ years old with a valid driver's license.
- 2No criminal record and a clean driving record.
- 31+ year of paid driving experience (Uber, Lyft, delivery, or commercial).
- 4Step-van driving experience preferred, or willingness to learn.
- 5Ability to lift up to 150 pounds using a dolly.
- 6Pass DOT physical and drug screen (including THC).
- 7Physically fit and able to handle frequent stops.
- 8Good attitude and flexibility to adapt to route changes.
