STEM Apprentice Teacher (2026-2027 School Year)
Overview
Full-time paid residency where you will own ETL pipeline development using Spark and Airflow. This role prepares you to lead your own classroom after completing a state-approved licensure program. It is a pathway to become a certified Lead Teacher.
What You'll Do9
- 1Co-lead homeroom while practicing lesson planning and classroom management techniques
- 2Observe mentors delivering diverse instruction across multiple subjects
- 3Practice teaching in real classrooms with structured feedback sessions
- 4Participate in state-approved licensure coursework funded by DSST
- 5Support additional school needs aligned with professional development goals
- 6Deliver partial instruction under mentor supervision during designated periods
- 7Organize student work and provide instructional resources
- 8Engage in collaborative planning with fellow educators
- 9Maintain detailed reflections on teaching practices and growth areas
Requirements8
- 1Completed Bachelor’s Degree in any field prior to start date
- 2Passion for STEM education with demonstrated commitment to equity
- 3Experience working with students aged 11-18 in various educational settings
- 4Ability to commit to full-time in-person residency and licensure program
- 5Desire to develop anti-racist teaching practices
- 6Strong self-awareness and willingness to engage in reflective practice
- 7Availability for extended work hours including lunch periods
- 8Commitment to ongoing professional growth and mentorship
