What You'll Do9

  • 1Design build and maintain scalable data pipelines moving operational data from on-prem systems into cloud infrastructure
  • 2Architect and manage cloud based infrastructure on AWS for scalable computation data processing and system telemetry
  • 3Integrate on-prem and cloud data flows into cohesive reliable data architecture
  • 4Build and maintain CI CD pipelines enabling rapid reliable software delivery across simulation and real-world testing environments
  • 5Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform CloudFormation for automated provisioning
  • 6Develop internal services and automation tools to streamline data ingestion processing and observability
  • 7Establish best practices for data reliability pipeline observability and system security
  • 8Drive root cause analysis for data infrastructure and pipeline issues designing long term solutions to improve system resilience
  • 9Collaborate with autonomy and systems engineers defining scalable data interfaces and cloud deployment strategies

Requirements11

  • 1Bachelor"s or Master"s degree in Computer Science Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 27+ years experience building cloud infrastructure and data systems for large scale distributed systems
  • 3Strong proficiency in Python with focus on data pipeline development and automation
  • 4Hands on experience with Kafka Kubernetes and gRPC for scalable high throughput data systems
  • 5Deep expertise with AWS cloud services including compute storage and data processing
  • 6Proficiency with CI/CD platforms Jenkins GitHub Actions or CircleCI
  • 7Experience automating deployments with Terraform or CloudFormation
  • 8Familiarity with Git based workflows code review processes and collaborative software development
  • 9Background in data engineering for robotics autonomous systems or real time operational data
  • 10Knowledge of monitoring logging and alerting tools such as Prometheus Grafana or ELK Stack
  • 11Experience supporting safety critical real time or high availability systems
