Specialized Wireless Engineer, WiFi Performance
Overview
You will own WiFi performance across a large-scale production environment, driving optimization and operational excellence. You will lead wireless technology development, engineering design, and deployment support. Working onsite in Greenwood Village, Colorado, you will collaborate with network operations and engineering teams to ensure seamless wireless connectivity. This hands-on role challenges you to solve complex RF issues and shape the future of our wireless infrastructure.
What You'll Do7
- 1Monitor and optimize WiFi performance across a large-scale production environment, identifying and resolving interference and coverage gaps.
- 2Lead wireless technology development for new and existing WiFi standards, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- 3Design and support deployment of WiFi solutions, including site surveys and configuration of Cisco or Aruba access points.
- 4Drive continuous improvement of wireless network reliability and throughput, using Ekahau or AirMagnet for analysis.
- 5Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex WiFi issues, reducing downtime and user impact.
- 6Own the performance tuning of WiFi controllers and access points, implementing proactive measures.
- 7Scale wireless operations by developing automation scripts with Python or Ansible for repetitive tasks.
Requirements7
- 15+ years of hands-on experience in wireless engineering, focusing on WiFi technologies.
- 2Deep knowledge of 802.11 standards and protocols, including WiFi 6 and WiFi 6E.
- 3Experience with Cisco or Aruba wireless controllers and access points in production environments.
- 4Proficiency in Ekahau or AirMagnet for site surveys and spectrum analysis.
- 53+ years of experience with Python or Ansible for network automation.
- 6CCNP Wireless or CWNA certification preferred.
- 7Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting RF issues and optimizing performance.
Salary Insight
$156 - $177k per year
