We are seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to work on our school campus in Des Plaines IL for the upcoming school year and the 2026-27 school year. What You'll Do5
- 1Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities including autism spectrum and developmental delays
- 2Adapt instructional materials using curriculum development strategies and educational technology integration to enhance learning outcomes
- 3Collaborate closely with speech therapists behavioral health specialists parents and other professionals to support student progress through team-based planning and intervention
- 4Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management techniques and behavioral therapy strategies creating a safe and supportive environment
- 5Own and lead daily instruction while continuously assessing student performance and adjusting teaching approaches accordingly
Requirements7
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons leading special education teams
- 3PEL certification required
- 4LBS1 certification required
- 5Valid PEL and LBS1 credentials
- 6Proven classroom experience working with students with disabilities in middle school settings
- 7Autism spectrum disorder support experience preferred
