Overview

What You'll Do8
- 1Provide specialized instruction to middle school students in a resource setting, adapting lessons to individual IEP goals.

- 4Deliver differentiated instruction based on student needs, using data to inform teaching.
- 5Collaborate with special education and general education teachers to align support and share strategies.
- 6Coordinate and direct paraprofessionals to ensure consistent student support across settings.
- 7Track and document student progress toward IEP goals, updating records and communicating with the team.
- 8Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to foster a collaborative environment.
Requirements8
- 1Minnesota Teaching Credential in one of: Special Education: Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Disabilities, Early Childhood, Emotional Behavioral Disorders, Learning Disabilities, or Academic & Behavioral Strategist.
- 2Excellent attendance and reliability, with a track record of consistent presence.
- 3Knowledge of behavior plans and behavioral supports, including implementing BIPs.
- 4Strong classroom management skills with an understanding of effective structures and routines.
- 5Demonstrated instructional and differentiation skills for diverse learners.
- 6Experience working with both special education and general education teams.
- 7Experience scheduling, directing, and collaborating with paraprofessionals.
- 8Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues and maintain an organized, flexible approach.
