Working alongside the Executive Chef, you'll own daily operations from food quality to inventory control. What You'll Do9

  • 1Train and mentor Master Cooks, Cooks, and Pantry Workers on station procedures and food safety standards.
  • 2Ensure all requisitions are processed correctly and stored in designated areas, maintaining an organized kitchen.
  • 3Label and date all products to guarantee freshness and compliance with sanitation protocols.
  • 4Master the preparation of base sauces, stocks, and soups, ensuring consistency and flavor.
  • 5Monitor food quality and immediately correct any deviations from recipe standards.
  • 6Coordinate with management and service staff to address guest and employee needs promptly.
  • 7Assist the Executive Chef with purchasing, receiving, and vendor management to control inventory costs.
  • 8Create and manage the kitchen schedule, optimizing labor to meet business demands.
  • 9Support the Executive Chef in setting goals that drive profit, product excellence, and team development.

Requirements7

  • 1High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or culinary certification preferred.
  • 22+ years of prior experience as a supervisor or chef in a high-volume kitchen.
  • 3Demonstrated ability to manage kitchen operations, including food cost and labor control.
  • 4Hands-on expertise in sauce preparation, stock making, and soup techniques.
  • 5Strong leadership skills with experience training and motivating culinary teams.
  • 6Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • 7Experience managing employees under a Collective Bargaining Agreement preferred.
