Overview
You will own real-time embedded software development for missile systems at RTX's Effectors Center in Aurora, Colorado. Working within agile teams, you will design, code, and test applications using C++ and C. You will collaborate with engineers across the full software lifecycle, from requirements to integration. This role demands an active Secret clearance and offers growth into defense tech. You will build mission-critical solutions that protect our nation.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design and code real-time embedded software using C++ and C for missile systems.
- 2Develop new work products and enhance existing applications within the first 90 days.
- 3Test and integrate software with hardware to validate performance.
- 4Document software solutions and participate in internal reviews.
- 5Collaborate with project managers and engineers to define scope and schedule.
- 6Maintain configuration management of software products following established practices.
- 7Debug and resolve software defects in embedded environments.
- 8Drive innovation by staying current with software and missile technology advancements.
Requirements8
- 12+ years of relevant experience with a STEM degree.
- 2Proficiency in C++, C, or other object-oriented languages.
- 3Experience with hardware-software integration and embedded system testing.
- 4Active and transferable Secret security clearance on day 1.
- 5Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and operating systems.
- 6Knowledge of assembly, structured programming, and object-oriented design.
- 7Knowledge of statistical and numerical methods.
- 8Strong interpersonal and communication skills for team collaboration.
