What You'll Do10

  • 1Supervise and evaluate direct reports across multiple psychiatric units, ensuring high-quality therapeutic care and adherence to professional standards.
  • 2Deliver structured clinical supervision, guiding staff in complex psychiatric cases, ethical standards, and therapeutic boundaries.
  • 3Conduct routine chart audits in the electronic health record to verify documentation meets medical necessity and regulatory benchmarks.
  • 4Assess operational needs, design specialty programs, and implement targeted therapeutic groups with hospital leadership.
  • 5Manage a select patient caseload, completing comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and administering the Colorado Client Assessment Record (CCAR).
  • 6Lead the Interdisciplinary Plan of Care (IPOC), translating clinical findings into SMART goals with psychiatry, psychology, and nursing.
  • 7Coordinate comprehensive discharge planning, securing resources like Medicaid and guardianship, and liaising with the court for forensic tracks.
  • 8Engage patient support networks through psychoeducation and family therapy to prepare for community reintegration.
  • 9Interview and select new hires, leading onboarding and training in departmental workflows and acute care protocols.
  • 10Monitor daily unit operations, ensuring compliance with Fort Logan policies, safety standards, and regulations.

Requirements10

  • 1Current Colorado licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • 22+ years of licensed clinical experience in a psychiatric setting.
  • 3Experience with inpatient settings, civil and/or forensic populations.
  • 4Experience providing clinical supervision.
  • 5Experience with work unit management.
  • 6Experience with project management.
  • 7Experience treating adults and/or adolescents with severe and persistent mental illness.
  • 8Previous state government experience preferred.
  • 9Must pass background checks including CBI, ICON, Medicare fraud, reference, and professional license verification.
  • 10Must complete 2-step TB screening and annual vaccinations as required.
