Overview
Chartwells HE at UMBC seeks a Shift Supervisor to direct dining operations for 1,000+ students daily. You will own shift performance, staff training, and service quality from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on weekdays. You will work with a team of 10-15 associates, reporting to the General Manager. This role offers $18.00-$20.00 per hour and benefits like Instapay.
What You'll Do7
- 1Train associates on food safety and service standards during your first week.
- 2Create weekly work schedules for 10-15 team members using online scheduling tools.
- 3Evaluate employee performance and document results for management reviews.
- 4Serve as the primary contact for shift complaints and time-off requests.
- 5Coach associates to set goals and pursue advancement within Chartwells.
- 6Prepare daily production and sales reports for management.
- 7Enforce safety protocols and ensure unit meets quality and productivity targets.
Requirements5
- 1Prior supervisory experience in food service or retail preferred.
- 2Willing to train candidates with strong leadership potential.
- 3Available Monday-Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, some nights and weekends.
- 4Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
- 5Able to stand for 8-hour shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.
