Sheet Rocker Drywaller Commercial Construction

Experienced Sheet Rocker Drywaller leading complete drywall process in commercial settings. Responsible for hanging taping mudding sanding finishing projects while assisting crew members. Requires strong understanding of commercial construction practices and ability to maintain quality under pressure.
What You'll Do11
- 1Hang and install drywall on commercial construction projects
- 2Tape drywall joints and prepare surfaces for finishing
- 3Apply mud joint compound and complete finishing work
- 4Sand and prepare drywall surfaces to commercial quality standards
- 5Paint drywall as assigned
- 6Perform carpentry and other assigned construction tasks
- 7Demolish structures as required
- 8Read and follow construction blueprints and project plans
- 9Operate hand and power tools safely
- 10Inspect and operate aerial equipment skid steers forklifts
- 11Maintain clean organized safe jobsite
Requirements19
- 1Minimum 5 years drywall sheetrock experience
- 2Hands-on drywall hanging experience
- 3Hands-on drywall taping experience
- 4Hands-on mudding joint compound experience
- 5Hands-on drywall sanding experience
- 6Hands-on drywall finishing experience
- 7Strong understanding of commercial construction practices
- 8Ability to read and comprehend blueprints
- 9Knowledge of construction site and OSHA safety practices
- 10Ability to operate hand and power tools
- 11Ability to travel to job sites as required
- 12Variable commercial construction schedule based on project demands
- 13Regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds
- 14Work on uneven surfaces climb kneel and perform physical construction work
- 15Required personal protective equipment
- 16Strong judgment and jobsite problem solving skills
- 17Ability to follow complex directions within a commercial construction team
- 18Experience with aerial equipment skid steers and forklifts
- 19Preferred commercial experience with office retail institutional industrial or tenant improvement projects
Salary Insight
$111 - $156k per year
