Senior Staff Security Engineer
Overview
Lead the end-to-end security posture of an AI coworker product for enterprise IT teams. Own application cloud network and agent security while defining a novel category. Drive secure design reviews build security primitives and manage incident response. This is a full-time role in San Francisco with equity compensation.
What You'll Do10
- 1Own secure design reviews and threat modeling for a governed-identity agent that requires human approval
- 2Build security primitives such as per-customer isolation and credential management into the product
- 3Establish replayable audit trails and customer-controlled capability dials
- 4Run external validation including penetration testing and compliance frameworks
- 5Manage incident readiness and response with breach notifications measured in hours
- 6Integrate scanning secret detection and compliance checks into CI pipelines
- 7Set internal standards for credential handling and data egress using Python Go Rust or TypeScript
- 8Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define security architecture reviewed by enterprise buyers
- 9Communicate risk trade-offs to engineers and executives
- 10Operate in an ambiguous fast-moving environment with on-site presence in San Francisco
Requirements11
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 2Strong practical threat-modeling and vulnerability identification skills
- 3Real depth in network and identity security including workload IAM
- 4Cloud security expertise on a major provider with identity federation and IaC
- 5Experience securing agentic or code-execution systems
- 6Bug bounty or vulnerability disclosure program leadership
- 7Company through compliance frameworks and enterprise security reviews
- 8Familiarity with enterprise IT and identity such as directory services SSO and PAM
- 9Standout track record of excellence through education competition or leadership
- 10High agency demonstrated by founding or engineering large ambiguous-scope projects
- 11Visa sponsorship available for qualified candidates
