Senior Software QA Engineer Molecular Devices
Overview
Drive software quality strategy and test automation for key Molecular Devices products. Own QA strategy across Agile sprints and release cycles. Establish testing standards and champion early quality involvement. Mentor engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Reduce release risk using Danaher Business System principles. What You'll Do11
- 1Own and drive QA strategy for key software products including test architecture and coverage models across Agile sprint execution and release cycles
- 2Establish and enforce testing standards and best practices across coding guidelines test documentation TeamCity CI/CD quality gates and Jira defect lifecycle management
- 3Champion quality early in development by participating in requirements reviews architecture discussions and sprint grooming for HCS.ai and IN Carta workflows
- 4Mentor junior and mid-level QA engineers through test case reviews test script reviews technical guidance and knowledge sharing
- 5Drive continuous improvement of QA processes using Danaher Business System principles to reduce waste rework and systemic quality gaps
- 6Collaborate with software engineers product owners application scientists and hardware teams to integrate software with lab instruments
- 7Configure and use CI/CD pipelines such as TeamCity Jenkins or GitHub Actions to support quality gates build health monitoring and pipeline reliability
- 8Manage defect lifecycle in Jira perform test planning and provide sprint reporting for cross-team quality visibility
- 9Travel to support software verification and instrument-software integration testing as needed
- 10Possess prior experience with HCS.ai IN Carta or similar high-content imaging software platforms
- 11Perform hardware-software integration testing for lab instrument systems such as imaging platforms automated liquid handlers or robotic workflows
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or related field with Master’s preferred
- 25+ years experience in software quality assurance including ownership of test strategy and automation architecture
- 3Hands-on proficiency with modern end-to-end automation frameworks such as Cypress Playwright or equivalent tools
- 4Scripting experience in TypeScript Python or C#
- 5Experience configuring CI/CD pipelines like TeamCity Jenkins or GitHub Actions
- 6Advanced experience using Jira for defect lifecycle management test planning and sprint reporting
- 7Ability to work in office and laboratory environments with occasional travel required
- 8Previous experience with Danaher operating company software such as HCS.ai IN Carta or similar lab automation platforms
- 9Professional use of AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot for test script generation refactoring migration support or coverage gap analysis
