Senior Salesforce DevOps Engineer, Copado & SFDX
Overview
You will own the Salesforce release pipeline for mission-critical enterprise orgs, cutting deployment time by 50%. You join a DevOps platform squad of 8 engineers, paired with release managers and solution architects. The role goes beyond CI/CD: you define change governance, automate environment provisioning, and set the bar for quality gates. You work fully onsite in Philadelphia, using Copado, SFDX, and Git daily, with a path to lead infrastructure modernization.
What You'll Do8
- 1Build and maintain the Copado release pipeline, cutting deployment cycles from weeks to days.
- 2Own Salesforce metadata and change management through SFDX and Git branching strategies.
- 3Execute and automate release deployments across sandboxes and production, with zero-downtime rollback plans.
- 4Define and enforce code promotion workflows using Copado and Git hooks.
- 5Debug and resolve merge conflicts and environment drift in SFDX-based source control.
- 6Monitor release health and build quality gates with AWS services like CloudWatch and CodeBuild.
- 7Design infrastructure as code using Terraform for reproducible environments.
- 8Partner with developers to refactor monolithic orgs into package-based development with SFDX.
Requirements8
- 15+ years hands-on DevOps engineering, with at least 2 years focused on Salesforce.
- 23+ years using SFDX for metadata deployments and scratch org management.
- 32+ years rolling out Copado for release automation and change tracking.
- 4Expert-level Git workflows, including branching, merging, and conflict resolution.
- 5Strong background in Agile/Scrum and ability to run release ceremonies.
- 6AWS experience with EC2, S3, Lambda, and CloudFormation, plus Terraform for IaC.
- 7Docker and container orchestration with EKS or ECS for build environments.
- 8Prior scripting in Bash or Python to glue CI/CD steps.
