Senior Public Sector Counsel at Harvey

You will build and lead Harvey's government and public sector legal function, owning agreements with federal, state, and local agencies. You will partner with go-to-market, engineering, and product teams to drive procurement strategy and execution. This role sits at the center of Harvey's mission to make generative AI actionable for public sector customers. You will shape the legal framework for AI adoption in government, working with a team that values decisiveness, simplicity, and relentless execution. 7+ years of transactional experience and deep knowledge of FAR and DFARS make you the ideal fit.

You will build and lead Harvey's government and public sector legal function, owning contract strategy for AI SaaS sales to federal, state, and local agencies. You'll partner with go-to-market, Engineering, Product, and Security to execute agreements with government customers and prime contractors, ensuring compliance with FAR and agency-specific rules. This role puts you at the center of scaling a generative AI platform for the world's most renowned law firms and professional organizations. You'll have the unique opportunity to shape public sector legal practice in a fast-moving startup environment, with flexibility to work hybrid in New York, San Francisco, Chicago, or Dallas, or fully remote within the US (DC preferred).

This role owns privacy and AI compliance for Harvey, a platform transforming legal work with agentic AI. You will shape global privacy programs and AI governance at a high-growth company backed by world-class investors. Working with the Head of Privacy, you will partner with engineering, product, and security teams to embed privacy by design. You will also advise on evolving AI regulations, including CCPA and EU AI Act. This is a rare chance to define category standards for AI and privacy in legal tech.

Senior Privacy and AI Counsel owns data protection and AI governance across Harvey's global legal team, advising on SaaS products and Agentic AI platforms.
