What You'll Do22
- 1Own end-to-end ontology lifecycle from requirements gathering to long-term stewardship
- 2Define enterprise ontology architecture with modular design patterns and URI strategy
- 3Establish T-Box design standards and govern A-Box hydration patterns across data sources
- 4Author ontologies using OWL RDF RDFS SKOS to production quality standards
- 5Lead mapping of relational data into semantic frameworks using R2RML RML or equivalent
- 6Ensure ontological models align with business goals and regulatory requirements
- 7Establish ontology governance standards including version control and quality gates
- 8Lead business SME workshops to elicit domain concepts and competency questions
- 9Translate complex modeling decisions into rationales for non-technical audiences
- 10Partner with NLP teams to develop ontology-guided pipelines for unstructured data extraction
- 11Advise AI/ML teams on ontology-informed feature engineering and embedding strategies
- 12Represent knowledge modeling function in cross-organizational planning and governance forums
- 13Lead delivery timelines and coordinate across Data Engineering AI/ML Product and Business SME workstreams
- 14Mentor and develop ontologists and semantic analysts at intermediate and junior levels
- 15Conduct structured knowledge transfer and design reviews to build team capability
- 16Own delivery schedules and coordinate risk escalation across ontology program

- 1Minimum 12 years hands-on experience in ontology engineering knowledge modeling or semantic web

- 4Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Science Computer Science Library Science Linguistics Philosophy or related field
- 512+ years experience with Agile iterative delivery environments
