You will own the architecture and delivery of a consumer-facing iOS app for a leading retail brand. You will design and ship scalable features using Swift and Objective-C, integrating with complex REST APIs and optimizing for performance. You will collaborate with a tight-knit team of engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-impact releases. What You'll Do8
- 1Ship new e-commerce features into the iOS app within your first 90 days, from design through App Store approval.
- 2Design and build reusable components in Swift and Objective-C that power checkout, product browsing, and personalization.
- 3Integrate and debug RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints, ensuring data consistency and real-time updates.
- 4Optimize app performance, memory usage, and battery drain with Instruments and Xcode profiling tools.
- 5Implement App Store submission workflows, including certificate management, TestFlight beta builds, and release notes.
- 6Lead code reviews and mentor junior developers, setting high standards for Swift best practices and architecture.
- 7Collaborate with backend engineers to define API contracts and resolve integration bottlenecks.
- 8Drive A/B testing experiments for UI changes, measuring impact on conversion and engagement.
Requirements8
- 18+ years building native iOS applications in Swift and Objective-C.
- 2Proven track record shipping consumer-facing apps to the App Store with strong ratings.
- 3Deep understanding of UIKit, SwiftUI, Combine, and Core Data.
- 4Hands-on experience with REST APIs, JSON, and offline caching strategies.
- 5Experience with performance analysis using Instruments, Xcode and Crashlytics.
- 6Strong grasp of App Store Review Guidelines and release practices.
- 7E-commerce or retail app experience is strongly preferred.
- 8BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
