Overview
Lead the Global Financing Facility for Women Children and Adolescents to drive evidence based solutions for maternal newborn and child health. Provide strategic guidance on co financing and technical assistance while representing the facility globally.
What You'll Do12
- 1Advise country clients on scalable approaches for maternal newborn and child health and stillbirth prevention
- 2Translate technical evidence into investment cases and large scale World Bank program development
- 3Support development of metrics and evaluation approaches for performance based financing
- 4Advise on GFF collaboration across sectors including education social protection and labor market opportunities
- 5Contribute to knowledge products and disseminate tools through regional and global workshops
- 6Support routine reporting and stakeholder engagement on MNH programming across the GFF portfolio
- 7Represent the GFF in global donor and technical partnerships at relevant events
- 8Serve as focal point in partner countries for investment case development and stakeholder alignment
- 9Engage with World Bank regions and task teams to implement IDA/IBRD operations and facilitate access to trust funds
- 10Integrate MNCH into primary health care systems within complex low income settings
- 11Collaborate across practice groups to align with health population and gender initiatives
- 12Demonstrate strong leadership and cross sectoral partnership building abilities
Requirements10
- 1Doctorate degree in medicine public health or related field focusing on maternal or newborn health
- 2At least 10 years of MNCH experience in low income and complex settings with proven implementation of evidence based tools
- 3Experience integrating MNCH into primary health care and broader health systems
- 4Understanding of primary health care within health financing reform contexts
- 5Ability to work across sectoral boundaries with public and private stakeholders
- 6Track record of partner engagement and collaborative alliance building
- 7Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- 8Preference for fluency in French
- 9Familiarity with World Bank operations and processes
- 10Commitment to WBG culture of urgency thoughtful risk taking and empowerment
