What You'll Do8

  • 1Drive allocation strategies for assigned categories, aligning inventory with assortment, store capacity, and demand.
  • 2Analyze store and item-level performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, then implement actions to boost in-stock and productivity.
  • 3Monitor inventory flow and adjust to shifting business needs.
  • 4Partner with Merchandising, Planning, and Store Planning to align allocation with broader initiatives.
  • 5Build and maintain reporting tools in Excel to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • 6Lead initiatives to improve allocation processes, automation, and system functionality.
  • 7Mentor Allocators, coaching on best practices and fostering knowledge-sharing.
  • 8Present clear recommendations to cross-functional partners and leadership.

Requirements7

  • 13+ years in allocation, planning, analytics, or retail inventory management.
  • 2Advanced Excel skills and retail math proficiency.
  • 3Strong business acumen with understanding of product lifecycle, assortment strategy, and inventory flow.
  • 4Proven problem-solving in dynamic environments, managing multiple priorities with accuracy.
  • 5Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • 6Experience with Blue Yonder/JDA, Oracle, or similar allocation systems preferred.
  • 7Ability to collaborate across teams to achieve shared goals.
