Security Officer Patrol Driver, Part Time
Overview
You will own security patrol operations at a utility site in Boonton, NJ, driving a vehicle to conduct regular and random patrols of facility buildings, equipment areas, and perimeter boundaries. You will join a team of security professionals under Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company. This part-time role offers a fixed shift with the option to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform, allowing you to build up to 40 hours per week. You will provide customer service, monitor access points, and respond to incidents, all while using Allied Universal's proprietary Smart Tools technology.
What You'll Do6
- 1Conduct regular and random patrols of facility buildings, equipment areas, parking areas, and perimeter boundaries to help identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
- 2Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utility operations location, carrying out site-specific security procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities.
- 3Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, vehicle, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
- 4Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
- 5Prepare accurate reports and maintain daily activity logs for patrol observations, incidents, access-related activity, and equipment concerns.
- 6Drive a patrol vehicle to perform mobile security checks across the facility and perimeter, ensuring coverage of all designated areas.
Requirements10
- 12+ years of security-related experience is required.
- 2Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
- 3Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- 4A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- 5Customer service experience is preferred.
- 6Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- 7Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- 8As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- 9Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- 10Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
