Security Officer - 3rd shift

BCForward seeks a dedicated Security Officer for the 3rd shift. This full‑time position operates on night shifts from 9pm to 7am. The role involves managing multiple hospital and campus facilities while ensuring safety and security.
What You'll Do11
- 1Conduct daily rounds and manage egress/ingress control for Civil Hospital Forensic Hospital and the Arizona Community Protection & Treatment Center
- 2Respond to codes drills emergencies and safety inspections while providing excellent customer service
- 3Rotate through assigned posts or act as an interior campus rover as scheduled
- 4Assist in patient interventions using Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention methods
- 5Problem‑solve patient conflicts and relay updates to the Hospital Security Supervisor
- 6Support vehicle and radio maintenance conduct safety checks and complete documentation
- 7Monitor and operate electronic cameras and safety equipment including radios phones and emergency numbers
- 8Apply verbal and physical intervention during critical patient interactions
- 9Maintain professional relationships with patients staff law enforcement and visitors
- 10Interpret and apply policies and procedures communicating clearly in writing and verbally
- 11Perform physical duties such as lifting and carrying
Requirements9
- 1Ability to receive transmit and execute written and verbal directives
- 2Proficiency in verbal de‑escalation techniques and professional language use
- 3Knowledge of evacuation procedures and fire extinguisher operation
- 4Skill in investigation and report writing with attention to detail
- 5Experience monitoring and operating electronic cameras and safety equipment
- 6Capacity to respond to hospital codes and provide verbal or physical intervention
- 7Commitment to supporting a diverse multicultural workforce
- 8Preference for hospital or behavioral health security experience
- 9NVCI or comparable crisis intervention training
