Overview
You will load and unload vehicles transporting household goods, office furniture, and other items, owning the physical integrity of every shipment. This seasonal role demands constant lifting of 10-100 lbs and sustained pace across 5+ hour shifts. You'll join a tight warehouse crew, inspecting trucks, prepping vehicles, and keeping accurate inventory. What sets this apart: no two moves are the same, so you'll adapt on the fly while building reliability in a fast-moving team.
What You'll Do6
- 1Inspect assigned trucks for damages, flat or worn tires, and travel readiness before departure.
- 2Prep vehicles pre-load by verifying all materials are placed onboard and checking fluid levels.
- 3Lift, pack, load, and unload household goods and office furniture with proper technique.
- 4Write complete inventories of contents for each move, capturing item counts and conditions.
- 5Support crew leads on assigned jobs, stepping in for any needed task.
- 6Assist with warehouse operations when not on the road, including staging and organization.
Requirements10
- 1High School Graduate or GED.
- 21-3 months of related training or experience.
- 3Ability to read and speak English.
- 4Basic math skills: add and subtract two-digit numbers, multiply and divide by 10s and 100s.
- 5Comfort using American units for weight, volume, distance, and money.
- 6Physical stamina to stand, walk, sit, climb, crawl, squat, kneel, and reach constantly.
- 7Frequent lifting of 10-50 lbs and occasional lifting of 51-100+ lbs.
- 8Frequent pushing/pulling of 12-40 lbs and occasional 41-100 lbs.
- 9Energetic and enthusiastic attitude, with ability to work at a sustained pace.
- 10Friendly demeanor and comfort with simple one- to two-step instructions.
