Overview
NCS seeks a compassionate skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to support K–8 students' communication and social-emotional needs. This role involves delivering individualized therapy and fostering growth within a supportive team.
What You'll Do14
- 1Deliver individualized and small-group speech and language therapy to students with IEPs across K–8
- 2Address receptive and expressive language articulation fluency and voice social-pragmatic language conversational skills
- 3Design and implement Social Club programming for Autistic students using Social Thinking® methodologies
- 4Conduct initial and ongoing evaluations screenings and assessments to identify communication disorders
- 5Develop write and update IEP goals and present levels of performance in collaboration with the IEP team
- 6Maintain clear accurate and confidential records including session notes progress reports and compliance documentation
- 7Ensure therapy and documentation adhere to IDEA regulations and school policies
- 8Provide support to general education and special education staff with classroom strategies and interventions
- 9Participate actively in student support meetings IEP meetings and family consultations
- 10Work closely with school leaders teachers and other specialists to ensure holistic support for students
- 11Attend and contribute to weekly team meetings and regular supervision with an experienced SLP team manager
- 12Participate in ongoing school-wide professional development sessions
- 13Engage with outside experts and Social Thinking® consultants through monthly supervision and collaboration
- 14Take advantage of $250 CEU reimbursement and opportunities to supervise graduate-level SLP students
Requirements7
- 1Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders
- 2Valid state license or eligibility for licensure as an SLP
- 3Clinical Fellows (CFs) encouraged
- 4Experience supporting school-aged students with disabilities especially Autistic learners
- 5Familiarity with Michelle Garcia Winner’s Social Thinking® curriculum
- 6Strong interpersonal organizational and communication skills
- 7Bilingual proficiency strongly preferred
