What You'll Do7
- 1Welcome customers and answer product questions in departments like Plumbing, Electrical, Paint, or Hardware.
- 2Assist with locating merchandise, unloading trucks, and moving items to shelves or customer vehicles.
- 3Process sales orders and deliveries using POS systems to ensure accurate fulfillment.
- 4Restock shelves by identifying gaps and pulling products from back stock.
- 5Cross-train in adjacent departments to cover peak hours and team absences.
- 6Prepare custom orders: tint paint, cut pipe, bundle wood, or cut blinds to customer specs.
- 7Guide customers through checkout, including mobile payment and self-checkout options.
Requirements6
- 16+ months using computers for data entry, inventory lookup, and order processing.
- 26+ months operating smartphones or tablets for retail tasks like scanning and price checks.
- 3Ability to read, write, and perform basic math (addition, subtraction).
- 4Stand for 8+ hour shifts and lift 25+ pounds unassisted or up to 50 with accommodation.
- 56+ months retail or customer service experience preferred.
- 6Bilingual skills or trade certification in departments like lumber, electrical, or lawn & garden a plus.
