What You'll Do11
- 1Provide safe compassionate engaging in-home care for children with special needs
- 2Create fun age-appropriate activities such as crafts games reading imaginative play outdoor activities
- 3Help children feel safe supported comfortable through patience consistency encouragement
- 4Support daily routines while maintaining positive structured environment
- 5Build meaningful relationships with children and families
- 6Communicate with parents and caregivers about each child's day and individual needs
- 7Provide respite support giving families meaningful time to recharge
- 8Schedule weekly placements with consistent families may be available
- 9Work weekday afternoon and evening assignments between 12 PM-8 PM
- 10Handle weekend assignments between 8 AM-10 PM
- 11Offer occasional shifts with different families
Requirements10
- 1At least 1 year professional childcare experience
- 2Compassionate patient dependable engaging
- 3Enjoy working with children of different ages and abilities
- 4Support children with special needs autism Down syndrome cerebral palsy or other support needs
- 5Reliable insured transportation valid driver's license
- 6Cell phone with data to accept and record assignments
- 7Childcare references from paid or unpaid experiences
- 8Age at least 18 years old
- 9Volunteer experience working with children is also considered
- 10Special needs experience not required
Salary Insight
$42 - $50k per year
