What You'll Do11
- 1Evaluate patients before surgery and educate families on procedures
- 2Manage patient preparation including IV therapy and surgical site verification
- 3Lead surgical site verification processes and maintain universal protocols
- 4Respond promptly to patient emergencies and manage perioperative care
- 5Deliver patient-centered care using evidence-based practices
- 6Apply the nursing process and critical thinking to deliver safe care
- 7Document patient conditions and care provided accurately
- 8Educate patients and families about medical conditions and follow-up
- 9Participate in interdisciplinary teamwork with providers and surgeons
- 10Assess and monitor patient status throughout the shift
- 11Contribute to a culture of mutual respect and collaborative improvement
Requirements11
- 15+ years experience in endoscopy as a Registered Nurse
- 2Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Cardiac Life Support certifications within 30 days of hire
- 3Proven ability to operate Surgical Instruments and Patient Positioning equipment
- 4Strong knowledge of Perioperative Processes and Universal Protocols
- 5Experience with Electronic Health Records and documentation systems
- 6Certification in Endoscopy preferred but not required
- 7Ability to work flexible schedules including on-call rotations
- 8Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from an accredited program
- 9Current Florida RN license with valid CPR certification
- 10Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
- 11Commitment to patient safety and continuous quality improvement
