Registered Dietitian Job at Encompass Health Sunrise

You will own patient nutrition care at a 150+ bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital, assessing needs and crafting personalized plans. What You'll Do8
- 1Assess patients' nutritional needs within 24 hours of admission using ASPEN guidelines.
- 2Develop and implement individualized dietary plans based on physician orders and diagnosis.
- 3Educate patients and families on post-discharge diets, including diabetic and renal modifications.
- 4Document nutrition assessments and interventions in the EPIC medical record system.
- 5Conduct weekly calorie counts and adjust plans to meet protein and energy targets.
- 6Collaborate with nursing and therapy teams to address nutrition barriers to rehabilitation.
- 7Review and revise menus for texture modifications and allergy restrictions.
- 8Counsel patients on enteral and oral nutrition support methods per protocol.
Requirements6
- 1Registered Dietitian credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- 2State licensure as a dietitian in Florida.
- 3Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition from an accredited university.
- 41+ year clinical dietetics experience preferred.
- 5Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred.
- 6Experience with EPIC or similar EHR systems a plus.
