Receiver/Stocker, Day Shift
Overview
You own the receiving dock and sales floor at a Lowe's store in San Diego, unloading freight and stocking shelves for a $83B home improvement retailer. The team moves thousands of products daily, and you keep the backroom organized and the floor ready for customers. This role is physical and fast-paced, with shifts from morning to overnight. What You'll Do8
- 1Unload freight accurately and stock shelves, down-stocking and setting pallets for the sales floor.
- 2Assist customers with product location and loading, delivering SMART service.
- 3Verify deliveries and complete dock prep, using pallet jacks and forklifts safely.
- 4Maintain a clean, safe workspace by handling hazardous materials and following housekeeping protocols.
- 5Operate Zebra phones, scanners, and balers to track inventory and manage backstock.
- 6Pitch in on other tasks as needed, from organizing top stock to supporting team members.
- 7Pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders using the Orders App, ensuring accuracy and safe loading.
- 8Rotate orders by delivery date and resolve customer issues to ensure delivery satisfaction.
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 23 months experience operating forklift or power equipment like lifts and order pickers (preferred).
- 36 months experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking (preferred).
- 4Ability to lift up to 75 pounds following safety guidelines.
- 5Willingness to work flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, or overnight.
- 6Comfortable working in varying climates, including extreme heat or cold, and standing for most of the shift.
- 7Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe lifting practices.
