Overview
Lead planning and coordination of inbound and outbound rail operations ensuring sufficient railcar supply and fleet maintenance. Manage fleet utilization across US Canada Mexico and support export operations. Provide technical oversight and process improvements.
What You'll Do9
- 1Collect and organize fleet information from internal and external systems
- 2Coordinate with production scheduling inventory planning plants and railroads
- 3Monitor rail activities including receiving locating dispatching and optimizing railcar levels
- 4Solve moderately complex issues independently with minimal supervision
- 5Continuously improve systems and processes to meet organizational needs
- 6Track and document movement of rail assets
- 7Maintain accurate records of transportation activities
- 8Optimize railcar allocation and distribution
- 9Ensure compliance with operational standards and safety protocols
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor degree in logistics or related field
- 2Two years of operations experience in any logistics mode
- 3Intermediate MS Excel proficiency
- 4Familiarity with rail operations and transportation systems
- 5Strong organizational and problem solving abilities
- 6Ability to work in fast paced environment
- 7Experience with supply chain management
- 8Understanding of freight transportation regulations
