Quality Assurance Analyst, Data Pipelines & Warehousing
Overview
You will own end-to-end quality assurance for data pipelines and data reporting solutions at Gridiron IT Solutions in Washington, DC. You will join a mid-level testing team embedded in a Waterfall/Agile development environment. You will design and execute test plans that validate data integrity and business logic across ETL processes. This contract role focuses on delivering defect-free reporting that drives federal client decisions.
What You'll Do9
- 1Design and execute test cases for ETL pipelines and SQL queries to validate data accuracy and completeness.
- 2Build and maintain test data sets that mirror production scenarios for data warehousing validation.
- 3Debug data discrepancies with development teams using JIRA for defect tracking and resolution.
- 4Lead functional testing for BI dashboards and Tableau reports against business requirements.
- 5Drive regression testing for Agile sprints, ensuring stable releases across CI/CD pipelines.
- 6Automate repetitive test scenarios using Python scripts and Selenium where applicable.
- 7Document test results and traceability matrices to support UAT and compliance sign-off.
- 8Collaborate with data engineers to validate schema changes and Snowflake queries.
- 9Refine test strategies based on production incident trends and SQL query results.
Requirements8
- 13-5 years in quality assurance, software testing, or related field with focus on data pipelines.
- 2Hands-on testing experience with ETL tools and data warehousing solutions.
- 3Proficiency in SQL for querying and validating data outputs.
- 4Strong understanding of Waterfall/Agile SDLC and defect lifecycle management.
- 5Experience with JIRA or similar defect tracking tools.
- 6Analytical mindset with attention to detail in test case design.
- 7Ability to refine test plans independently using Python or Selenium.
- 8Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools like Git.
