Overview
Shifts Available: Days Employment Type: Part-Time Hours: 8-hour shifts – 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM Location: Providence Medical Center – Kansas City, KS This role oversees security operations ensuring facility safety through surveillance and patrols while coordinating incident responses and supporting multidisciplinary safety initiatives.
What You'll Do5
- 1Monitor entrances exits and restricted areas while conducting regular interior and exterior patrols to deter theft violence or unsafe behavior
- 2Respond to emergency codes and assist with crowd control evacuation or containment as needed
- 3Intervene in disruptive situations using de-escalation techniques to calm agitated patients or visitors in collaboration with clinical staff
- 4Escort patients or visitors safely through the facility providing directions and assisting with lost-and-found or personal property issues
- 5Write detailed reports on incidents accidents or safety hazards and report findings to supervisors or risk management
Requirements5
- 1Experience in Healthcare security or related field preferred
- 2High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- 3Certification from IAHSS preferred
- 4Valid State Driver’s license upon hire and maintained current
- 5Current DMV report
