What You'll Do11
- 1Participate in peer interviewing and review processes considering safety effectiveness cost and impact on practice
- 2Collect comprehensive patient health data for process improvement initiatives
- 3Conduct initial assessments within expected timeframes initiate consults and identify teaching and discharge needs
- 4Maintain safe practices by demonstrating unit-specific clinical competency and regulatory compliance
- 5Ensure safe handoff communications and documentation between caregivers
- 6Communicate courteously with internal and external customers
- 7Demonstrate respect for coworkers and develop positive relationships across departments
- 8Use AIDET technique for hourly rounding to improve patient outcomes
- 9Incorporate Caring Model behaviors and culturally competent care
- 10Adhere to dress and professional appearance standards
- 11Collaborate on patient flow management and timely placements following admission discharge and transfer policies

- 1Proficient clinical critical care skills and strong communication abilities [Required]
- 2Basic computer skills and commitment to hourly patient rounding [Required]
- 3Previous EKG Interpretation Class [Preferred]
- 4Frequent independent judgment handling complex clinical situations [Preferred]
- 5Ability to function calmly under stress [Preferred]
- 6Utilization of assessment and critical-thinking skills [Preferred]
- 7General knowledge of professional nursing principles and pharmacological processes [Preferred]
- 8Effective relationship building with health professionals [Preferred]

- 10Associate's of Nursing [Required]
- 11Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
- 121+ years acute care experience [Preferred]
- 13Licenses and Certifications: Registered Nurse BLS CPR [Required], Pediatric Advanced Life Support PALS [Preferred]
- 14Progressive Care Certified Nurse PCCN [Preferred]
