Program Assistant Rural Health Transformation
Overview
You'll own operational and administrative support for the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) at the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy & Financing (HCPF), ensuring compliance with federal and statutory mandates. You'll manage contract and grant activities, process invoices, and coordinate meetings with stakeholders across the state. Working within the Office of Medicaid & CHP Behavioral Health Initiatives, you'll support RHTP-funded staff with onboarding, travel, and reimbursements. This term-limited role through September 2030 offers hybrid flexibility and direct impact on rural health care access.
What You'll Do8
- 1Process invoices and review deliverables for RHTP contracts and grants, ensuring compliance with RHTP guidance.
- 2Prepare documentation for fund expenditures, then submit through CORE for budget and purchasing compliance.
- 3Support onboarding and offboarding of RHTP staff, including travel arrangements and employee reimbursements via Concur.
- 4Coordinate meetings: schedule, develop agendas, distribute documents, and take notes for internal and external stakeholders.
- 5Manage clearance tracking and respond to inquiries from state agencies, providers, and the public via phone and written correspondence.
- 6Maintain program data, enter information into CORE, and prepare presentation materials and web content.
- 7Monitor budgets and reconcile spending against RHTP grant requirements to prevent compliance gaps.
- 8Assist with project close-out activities, ensuring final deliverables and reports meet federal standards.
Requirements9
- 14+ years of professional experience in administrative and operational support, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (associate's = 2 years, bachelor's = 4 years, master's = 6 years).
- 2Experience with administrative and operational support in a professional setting.
- 3Experience supporting onboarding and offboarding processes for staff.
- 4Experience arranging travel and processing employee reimbursements.
- 5Experience providing meeting assistance, including scheduling and documentation.
- 6Experience reviewing deliverables for grant compliance, budgeting, and internal policies.
- 7Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- 8State of Colorado residency at time of application.
- 9Successful completion of a criminal background check as a condition of employment.
