Process Engineer I, Medical Device Manufacturing
Overview
You will own technical and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing area at Medtronic, driving equipment and process modifications to meet quality standards and improve production yields. You will work within a cross-functional team of product design and development personnel to ensure process compatibility, while integrating equipment and material capabilities to hit target specifications. This entry-level role offers direct mentorship and close supervision as you develop expertise in ISO 13485, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma. You will lead the innovation and optimization of manufacturing concepts for transfer to operations, with a focus on statistical process control and regulatory compliance.
What You'll Do8
- 1Implement equipment and process modifications to meet quality standards and boost production efficiencies for existing products.
- 2Integrate equipment and material capabilities to achieve process module and technology target specifications.
- 3Review product development requirements for manufacturing compatibility, and estimate costs and schedules.
- 4Collaborate with design and development teams to ensure processes and designs align.
- 5Conduct statistical analysis and document process improvements to support decision-making.
- 6Lead innovation and development of new manufacturing concepts, including scouting, feasibility, and material selection.
- 7Develop manufacturing processes applicable to SPC, including measurement systems.
- 8Ensure all processes and procedures comply with regulations.
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's Degree in Electromechanical, Electronic, or Mechatronic Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 21-3 years in the medical industry in a similar manufacturing or process engineering role.
- 3Experience with Manufacturing Processes and Validation Processes.
- 4Advanced level of English.
- 5Experience with PM, Lean, SSGB, ISO 13485, and ASQ.
- 6Experience with Agile for engineering changes, plus Statistics, Product Costing, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma.
- 7Experience in cost reduction and capital management.
- 8Experience in Project Management and Risk Management.
